The Exchange 2008-09

The Exchange programme creates further opportunities for the studio artists to share their ideas and artwork with three artists groups; Project Ability in Glasgow, Bluecoat Arts Centre in Liverpool and Rocket Artists in Brighton. Live Exchange visits are being made by the studio artists to each of these artists groups. We will also be hosting workshops and discussions in our London studio. The Exchange is funded by
Arts Council England.

The studio artists continue to develop artwork in their studio towards two major exhibitions in 2009 at Whitechapel Gallery London and Project Ability at Trongate 103, Glasgow. We are also inviting artists, writers and curators to take part in a series of Idea Exchange discussions with the studio artists. We will be sharing these ideas and documentation of The Exchange in three public events at Whitechapel Gallery in Autumn 2009.

New Commission 2008
Ntiense Eno-Amooquaye, Selina Helene and Clifton Wright will be undertaking their first public artwork commission in summer 2008 to develop a series of large-scale drawings on hoardings in East London.

New Projects
Intoart is developing pilot projects working with new participants over the next 18 months. We develop projects that support a framework for learning and responding to visual art through the making and distribution of the participants own artwork. Join our email list to get updates about our projects or contact us to find out about working with Intoart.
