My work is about drawing from my head. I sometimes use just pencil to make detailed drawings on paper. I like to use colour and shapes in my paintings.

I draw people and their faces. I like when I use graphite and pencil and use the rubber to where I do dark shading around the eyes, nose, mouth, cheeks and hair. One of my drawings is called ‘The door opened and the light shone onto her’.

Stones are the subject for my work. I used them to get ideas. What I like about rocks is the feel of them, smooth and hard, the cracks of the stones, how they pattern out. I feel the stones because I can decide what materials to use to draw with.

I am interested in mixing shapes to make a new shape that people haven’t seen before. I start drawing the different shapes by making one shape and then overlap the shapes. I keep adding more paint to the canvas, blending makes the colour come out more or makes it go inwards.
